Genotyping for MMRRC#29995 was performed on ONE heterozygous male mouse that was 8 generations backcrossed onto C57BL/6NJ relative to the original mice submitted to the MMRRC-UNC archive by the donating investigator. When compared to C57BL/6NJ (Reference 1) and 129S1/SvImJ (Reference 2) genotypes, MegaMUGA genotyping indicated that the strain background was 98.67% C57BL/6J. A single 34.49Mb interval heterozygous for 129S1/SvImJ markers was identified on chromosome 5, spanning the Piwil1 locus. Genotyping for this sample is consistent with the information provided by the donating investigator on the strain detail sheet. Based on the single sample that was genotyped, the genetic background of this line appears to be fixed.
