Strain Certification
A service of the UNC Mutant Mouse Regional Resource Center

Updates:

2/5/2013: Strain contribution analysis tools available for MegaMUGA

11/16/2011: Website is now live.

The UNC Mutant Mouse Regional Resource Center is now alpha testing a new strain certification and informatics service. This service assesses the full-genomic composition of each contributed mutant mouse strain. It identifies the region and extent of the targeted genetic variant as well as the background contributions of a selected individual.

The genomic contributions are determined using genotypes from the Mouse Universal Genotyping Array (MUGA), available from Neogen's Geneseek division. MUGA provides a resolution of approximately 1Mb on average. A table of certified MMRRC strains is availble under the Strain Q/C tab at the top of this page. More detailed information can be found by following the strain name link.
