Genotyping for MMRRC#32096 was performed on ONE homozygous male mouse that was one generation intrarcrossed within the strain relative to the original mice submitted to the MMRRC-UNC archive by the donating investigator. When compared to C57BL/6J (Reference 1) and 129S6 (TC-1) (Reference 2) genotypes, MUGA genotyping indicated that the strain background was 74.24% C57BL/6J. A 65.95Mb region homozygous for 129S6 markers spans the Myh9 locus on chromosome 15. Based on the single sample that was genotyped, the genetic background of this line is not fixed and contains multiple segregating 129S6 intervals. The strain detail sheet did not provide specific information on the degree of heterogeneity in the background.
