Genotyping for MMRRC#34256 was performed on ONE heterozygous male mouse originally submitted to the MMRRC-UNC archive by the donating investigator. When compared to C57BL/6J (Reference 1) and 129X1 (Reference 2) genotypes, MUGA genotyping indicated that the strain background was 98.86% C57BL/6J. 129X1 was selected as the reference 2 background because the genetic background at the mutant locus was more similar to 129X1 than 129S1 (The original ES cell background was R1:129X1/S1)A single 29.31Mb interval heterozygous for 129X1 markers was identified on chromosome 6, spanning the Mthfd2 locus. Genotyping for this sample is consistent with the information provided by the donating investigator on the strain detail sheet. Based on the single sample that was genotyped, the genetic background of this line appears to be fixed.
