Genotyping for MMRRC#16820 was performed on ONE heterozygous male mouse that resulted from three generations of intrastrain matings relative to the original mice submitted to the MMRRC-UNC archive by the donating investigator. When compared to C57BL/6J (Reference 1) and 129X1 (Reference 2) genotypes, MUGA genotyping indicated that the strain background was 78.4% C57BL/6J. Based on the single sample that was genotyped, the genetic background of this line is not fixed and is 6.26% heterozygous for the two reference markers, including a 19.15Mb interval on Chromosome 5 spanning the Hnf1a locus. In addition, almost 5% of the genome is classified as unknown origin (not C57BL/6J or 129X1). The strain background is more heterogeneous than is indicated on the strain detail sheet.
