Genotyping for MMRRC#31721 was performed on ONE heterozygous male mouse that was two generations backcrossed onto C57BL/6J relative to the original mice submitted to the MMRRC-UNC archive by the donating investigator. When compared to C57BL/6J (Reference 1) and 129S1/SvImJ (Reference 2) genotypes, MUGA genotyping indicated that the strain background was 99.64% C57BL/6J. A single 9.54Mb interval heterozygous for 129S1/SvImJ markers was identified on chromosome 15, spanning the Mei1 locus and associated point mutation. Genotyping for this single sample is consistent with the information provided by the donating investigator on the strain detail sheet and indicates that the genetic background of this line is fixed.
